Lindsey Lusson is a Fertility Nutritionist & Registered Dietician who hosts the Period Recovery & Fertility Podcast. The Challenge

95% of her leads were coming from social media—and it was exhausting. And while she was technically blogging, the work wasn’t working.

When I first met Lindsey, she was sitting in the conference room of a co-working office during the Podcasting Moms Conference back in April of 2025. She, along with 10+ other podcasters had one question: how does blogging fit into their podcasting world?

Most were blogging in some way, for Lindsey, her VA was relying on AI to turn her episodes into “SEO blog posts” OR simply uploading and hitting publish on her transcript.

And, like most other podcasters in the room, her funnel looked a little like this:

  • Someone follows her on Instagram → listens to the podcast → applies for her program.

The struggle? It’s exhausting. She was publishing 24/7, hopping on stories daily to sell, and the blog she had was doing little to nothing for her no matter how many posts she published.

Why Blogging? 

Lindsey wasn’t against blogging — she just didn’t have a reason to believe it was working. And honestly, it wasn’t. Publishing transcripts and AI-generated posts without an SEO strategy is like planting seeds in concrete. The content exists, but it has no real chance to grow.

What Lindsey needed wasn’t more content. She needed a strategy that made her existing content — the podcast episodes she was already recording every week — work harder.

Within 3 months of implementing the strategy, Lindsey grew her organic Google traffic by 31% and by 39% over the most recent 6 months. Now, it’s the 2nd top traffic driver for her website and has the highest engagement and time spent on site, meaning more of her audience is spending more time consuming the content she creates and the offers she has.

“There are people who are cold traffic coming onto my page and not just looking at my page — they’re spending time on my page. That’s been really encouraging to see.”

Today, over 20% of her program applicants come from organic search, with 24% of those applications exploring a blog post before applying — a channel that was virtually non-existent in her funnel before.

It’s not just her program, either, when it comes to where her blogs now fit in her funnel, 53% of her free training sign-ups from organic search landed on a blog post BEFORE signing up to watch the replay:
