Get access to six simple things you can do in 15-minutes or less to improve your SEO and get your website (and content) to show up in search.

Mangools is an SEO tool I’ve used for the past few years—and while it’s not the only SEO tool I’ve committed to, it is one of my favorites (and one of the few I recommend). But this isn’t an “I love Mangools” review, this is a WHY I love it, who it’s for, who it’s not for, and whether or not it’s the right SEO and keyword research tool for you.

With SEO tools ready to break the bank (and the budget), it’s easy to get lost in what the tools are selling you vs. what you actually need—and accidentally committing to one you don’t actually enjoy using. As a small business owner, service provider, or shop, you deserve more than a “this will do.” You need a tool that makes SEO feel easier, and that’s the thought process as I critique Mangools.

This is my honest Mangools SEO review.

Heads up: I use affiliate links for my fave products that I use and trust. If you click and purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

What is Mangools? The “Beginner to Pro” SEO Tool

Mangools is a middle of the line SEO software that caters to both beginners to SEO and SEO experts. In it’s own words, it’s a tool that allows you to “get organic traffic with ease” and “discover easy-to-rank keywords, identify competitors’ weaknesses, tracking rankings and visibility across LLMs and search engines.”

Whether that’s what you actually get from the platform is determined by your own abilities (and little to do with the features they have, although the features DO make it easier). But I will admit Mangools has a nice cluster of apps to choose from.

TL;DR they’re an SEO researching and monitoring tool for solopreneurs, small business owners, and brands that offers multiple different apps to help achieve the end goal: ranking higher in search engines and LLMs.

What’s Included in Mangools?

The platform consists of SEO mini tools, which are free to try and don’t require a sign up like:

  • AI Search Grader
  • Reddit Threads Finder
  • Google SERP Simulator
  • SEO Content Optimizer
  • Google Location Changer

And options behind the sign-up (and behind the pay-wall) like:

  • KWFinder → what I use most from the platform, their keyword research tool.
  • SERPChecker → check what (and who) is ranking for the keyword.
  • SERPWatcher → track the keywords and the rankings, including est. volume.
  • LinkMiner → their backlink analysis tool (great for off-page SEO!)
  • SiteProfiler → all your SEO metrics and insight (also, this isn’t an audit).
  • AI Search Watcher → shows you when and where your brand is mentioned by LLMs (presumably).

For most beginner business owners, it’s the keyword research tool (KWFinder) that does the most heavy lifting.

With the free plan, you get five free keyword searches per day—with the paid (or Mangools Basic) you get 100 searches per day, and 200 keyword suggestions per request, which isn’t a bad deal.

This is the perfect in-between SEO tool when you’re working on improving your website’s core page strategy or planning your blog content as you go (and making sure what you’re writing is actually what people are searching).

What About The Other Mangools Features?

I’m going to be fully honest, there’s rarely a time when I use the other Mangools features! They come in handy on occasion, but they’re not the main reason for me to use the tool. But that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about them so you at least know what they are:

mangools serp checker testing keyword for mangools seo review

Mangools SERPChecker is a tool to check who’s currently ranking in the top spots for the researched keyword. This shares what the website is, the page is, the domain authority, page authority, and a few other things.

mangools serp watcher a rank tracking tool for seo keywords and website peformance

Mangools SERPWatcher is a rank tracking tool designed to help you see and watch what your website is ranking for, including the pages and keywords and how high you’re ranking.

backlink checker for beginner website owners LinkMiner by mangools

LinkMiner is the Mangools backlink checker, or what’s used to check which websites are linking to your website and what exactly they’re linking to.

siteprofiler mangools seo tool tracking seo and website performance

SiteProfiler is a Mangools tool that does a few things at once, but overall it’s just giving you a screenshot view into your SEO performance and your website.

Who is Mangools For? Who is Going to Get the Most of This SEO Subscription?

This is one of those things I feel like every good review should have—because everything isn’t for everybody. But Mangools is ideal for the DIY-ers, small business owners, and brands who want to get started with SEO, but don’t want the high-cost of a true SEO auditing tool.

On that same note, it’s not the best for established business owner’s who’s site has been around for awhile. Since the tool doesn’t offer traditional auditing functions (which is standard, those usually come in at a higher price point), it won’t tell you if you have broken links on your site, if your title structure is off, or anything else in that realm.

But a beginner business owner can piece that together! In the first years of business, you’re less likely to have massive amounts of errors that need fixing, which means you can pair a paid version of Mangools for research and monitoring with free SEO auditing tools.

TL;DR the Pros and Cons of Mangools

If you’re looking for the quick and easy breakdown, you’ve come to the right place. Sure, my Mangools review has a lot of great information, but also, it’s long and sometimes you just need a mini-overview (so here it is):

The Pros of Mangools

  • Offers a free tier that works for awhile, especially if you’re just getting started with SEO—which also lets you get used to the interface and make better use of the tool when/if you do upgrade to paid.
  • Bundles multiple tools into one. Even if you don’t use all the tools every month, they’re perfect for checking in on your website’s performance regularly.
  • Great user experience and doesn’t feel insane to navigate—which is a common issue with SEO tools. With SEO already being what it is, having a UX friendly tool like Mangools makes life easier.

The Cons of Mangools

  • Doesn’t include site auditing, at least not on the technical side. While you can make do with other tools, it does mean you’ll need to change to a more extensive tool in the future (or add another to your tech stack) if you’re not planning on outsourcing.
  • Free plan is heavily limited with on the five free searches. But also, free is free and there’s no credit card information required to sign up.
  • Apps that you likely won’t use. Sure, having them helps (and they are there if you need them), but you’ll likely end up just using 1-2 and forgetting the rest.

So, Is Mangools The Right SEO Tool For You? Maybe, Let’s See…

Honestly, it depends. The best tool is one you’ll use—and Mangools could definitely be a contender. One of the reasons I’m always recommending it is the low barrier to entry, and the ease of exploring the features. While most keyword research tools sit behind paywalls and entering your CC information (and hoping you remember to cancel before your trial ends), Mangools gives you time.

And when you feel more comfortable with a tool, you’re more likely to use it, and if you’re using it, it’s the right tool for you.
