I made Grammar Girls to have a safe-space for bloggers with minimal self-promotion, but with plenty of opportunities to get consistent viewers and feedback on you’re blog.
We don’t allow hate, random promotion, discrimination, or spam in the group and remove members that do any or all of the above.
Still, you might think why join ANOTHER Facebook group?
And my answer is that we’re different, we’re small, and even if we get 1 million members (complete and utter exaggeration) we’d still maintain the sense of community.
Realistically, we won’t reach 1 million, maybe 1 thousand or so. Yet, we want to make sure that members are getting the most out of it. That’s why we offer freebies, threads, and shout-outs in addition to allowing members to post on the main wall (assuming the post is not against the main rules).
Grammar Girls is a beautiful mind-meld from me and Valerie Ricard. Valerie is an experienced lifestyle, mom, and now ‘Blogger’ blogger (my term for bloggers who blog about blogging). She’s the perfect resource for anyone looking to break into the niche and those who are thinking about starting a second – or third – blog!
I, on the other hand, focus solely on ‘Blogger’ blogging – I believe that to provide the best help possible for bloggers, I should put all of my blogging skills into it!
Of course, this is only a portion of what we do. Valerie is also a french translator who assists both individuals and small businesses. I am a Pinterest manager and content creator!
Like all groups, we must have rules! Although, our rules are mainly in place to keep everything friendly!
You can also read these rules at any time on the group wall!
As the host, it’s my responsibility to keep you up-to-date on big events and freebies! Easiest way to do so? Email list! I promise to only send you relevant information related to Grammar Girls (and super cool deals from me) – it is completely separate from my typical emails!
