I post on Instagram an average of three times per week, along with daily stories, engagement, and research.
How long does it take?
30 minutes per day. Minimum. I could trim it down to 15 minutes, but Instagram is a social platform that can be used for FREE marketing – so why not take advantage? I mean, 66% of people say they use Instagram specifically to interact with brands; 53% see they would follow a brand for its content alone. Wild, right? How about:
Eighty-three percent of Instagram users discover new products and services on the platform. That new service or product could be you, with the right tactics.
One last thing…
71% of my leads originate from Instagram. No, I am not neglecting my other platforms. Yes, I like to think I know what I’m doing.
So, what am I doing?
I’m taking action and planning my content, being resourceful, and creating an authentic page! Curious? Here’s what I do:
Whether three times per day or three times per week, posting consistently and with quality will keep your content appearing on your followers feeds.
Plus, it allows your followers to expect and anticipate your next post! (Who doesn’t want a few fans?)
PS: Consistency also applies to the content and graphics of your post. While you don’t have to narrow it down too much, keeping a strong message and aesthetic will build a stronger following.
AKA liking your feed and previous messaging = more likely to love what you post in the future.
Update your stories frequently, especially if you’re not going to make a post that day. Posting helps you stay relevant and memorable! Just don’t blow up your story, you’re less likely to get click throughs.
Also, get INTERACTIVE.
Interactive stories garner a larger response, specifically when they’re passionate about the topic.
Interactive is not limited to polls or stickers or ‘swipe-up’ (can’t do that one anyways until you hit 10k followers) – GO LIVE!
Not comfortable going live?
Try making short videos to post and relate to your audience. Let them get to know you at home, not just the biz or blog!
I cannot stress this enough: Engagement is key.
Interact with your followers and target audience by commenting on and sharing their posts. The goal is to try and keep the conversation going!

Hashtags are the secret sauce of your Instagram post – yes, you can live without it but it gives it the extra boost it needs! Using relevant and a mix of niche related hashtags will draw more of your target audience to your page.
Rotate your hashtag sets to keep your page up-to-date!
The easiest way to do this is by keeping a hashtag bank. My bank has over 100 different niched hashtags with varying reaches, I pull 14-25 per post and build preset groups based off of their results.
Try and keep posting and responding to followers on your account. Doing so in a timely manner provides a stronger sense of trust in your product, service, or you!
This applies to comments, direct messages, and story replies!
